Holy Land Pilgrimage March 5-17, 2020 — Join us!

Jerusalem western-wall pink sky

Center for Spiritual Wisdom’s second pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be March 5-17, 2020. CSW Director Rob Field will co-lead the group with Jane Hubbard of Atlanta. Rob and Jane were assistant leaders for the center’s first pilgrimage to Israel-Palestine in 2018.

Pilgrimage is a special journey that focuses on spirituality as we visit sacred places. Unlike a tour, a pilgrimage is a retreat on the move, traveling for the purpose of personal growth. The focus is Israel-Palestine, where we absorb the sights, sounds, smells of an ancient land that is spiritual home to three of the world’s great religions. For people of faith, pilgrimage is a journey of renewal, discovery and transformation. Many past participants say this program is “the trip of a life time”.

The daily pilgrimage schedule includes contemplative devotions in the morning, excursions to historic sights, worshiping at some of these places, small group reflection and discussion, and the use of spiritual practices to reflect on the journey. There will be spaces built into the schedule each day for rest and reflection except on travel days.

This pilgrimage is recommended for Christians as well as those who find deep meaning in the story of Jesus of Nazareth.
